Indianapolis road crews can be a little slow to react to road conditions.
I slid down my driveway, tiptoed to the main road, and found it was still an ice rink. Drove two blocks, u-turn, and came back home.
This was at 6:40 am EST!
Get your shit together, Indy.
Be safe out there, Oppo.

I remember those days. I put Indiana in my rear-view 25 years ago and never looked back...

That steering wheel is being turned the wrong way to correct the slide shown.

It’s not just Indy. We had those conditions in Baton Rouge just last week. Of course, we don’t have the equipment to deal with it, so they just shut down all of the schools and government offices....

SE Michigan, where they love to dump 50 million tons of salt on the road, salt melts the snow and ice, then eventually the salt completely dissolves leaving just the water, which turns back into ice making the roads dangerous again. Not to mention the water gets into the expansion cracks of the road, freezes and destroys the road. Seriously there are potholes in the area that will swallow a truck tire whole. They won’t use sand, like all the northern cities do in Michigan, because “the sewer system cannot handle the sediment”. Get your shit together Michigan.

They don’t want you to recover.
You slide into on coming traffic or off the road, they get a story. It’s win-win.
